Thought Leadership: UBA MD/CEO Usman Isiaka delivers lecture on Change Management and Sustainability to IPAM MBA Students

The MD/CEO UBA Sierra Leone Usman Isiaka was one of the speakers on the 1st Edition Executive Change Management Seminar organised at the Bintumani Conference Hotel on Friday 13th May by the Faculty of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship, Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM).

The seminar is part of the MBA Programme to expose students to practical experiences from business executives and institutions on how they are managing their businesses in this fast changing world.

Addressing the room full of MBA Executive Master Students, Heads of Faculties and Departments, lecturers and other invited guests and the media, the MD put into practical perceptive of change management and sustainability within business environment looking at key success factors in change management: proper planning and evaluation of the imperative for change, resource provision, staff training and sensitization, focus on attaining staff& organisational goals, create measurable short term wins, cultural and people management and communication.

Mr. Isiaka took his time and thrilled his audience with the topic on “Change Management and sustainability” using the UBA experience as a 74 years old Africa Global Bank.

Key speakers at the seminar included: Saibatu Mansaray (Former Senior White House Executive and retired US Military Officer), Dr. Walton E. Gilpin, Managing Director RCB, Mrs. Jeneba Kpaka Bangura, Deputy Commissioner General NRA and Dr. Duramany Lakkoh, Dean, Faculty of Accounting and Finance IPAM.

The hosts at the event were Samuel Wise Bangura TV Presenter AYV and Sonia Jaffal Journalist and Entrepreneur.
