Excellence, leadership, and impact these are the qualities that define United Bank for Africa Sierra Leone, and they were clearly Manifested on at the 10th edition of the African Ovation Awards.
The African Ovation Awards has, over the years, grown into a respected platform that recognizes organizations and individuals who demonstrate strong performance, innovation, and commitment to development across Africa. Its 10th edition brought together top performers from different sectors, making recognition at the event both competitive and meaningful.
UBA Sierra Leone stood out on the night with multiple awards, reflecting both strong leadership and institutional excellence.
At the center of this success was United Bank for Africa (UBA) Sierra Leone won the Corporate Excellence Award, as the Best Bank of the Year, a clear indication of the bank’s consistent performance, customer focus, and contribution to the financial sector in Sierra Leone.
Notably, the Managing Director/CEO, Mohamed Alhajie Samoura was also awarded as the Best Corporate Leader of the Year. This recognition highlights his leadership and the role he has played in strengthening the bank’s performance and direction.
In addition, Sallieu Sesay, Head of Brand Marketing, and Corporate Communications, was recognized with the Professional Excellence Award. His work has helped strengthen the bank’s brand and improve how it connects with customers and the public.
Representing the bank at the event were Brima Daramy, Head of Corporate Banking; Kelvin Sheku, Regional Head; Augustine Martin, External and Media Relations Officer; and James Titus Abu, social media and Website Coordinator. Their presence reflected the collective effort behind the bank’s achievements and the strong team driving its continued growth.
Together, these awards and representation highlight the bank’s strong footprint in the industry, leadership, teamwork, and professionalism. UBA Sierra Leone recognition is not just about achievement, but also a reminder to continue delivering excellence customer service and maintaining highest banking standards.
